Beyond Therapy

Outside the therapy room, life is full and beautifully chaotic. I love spending quality time with my wife and our child—and with baby number two on the way, our home is buzzing with excitement (and a bit of healthy chaos!).

When I’m not with my family or in session, you can usually find me on the mats. I have a deep passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and spend much of my free time training and teaching. It’s a practice that challenges me physically, grounds me mentally, and continues to teach me valuable lessons about discipline, resilience, and connection.

Music is another important part of my life. Whether I’m playing or just listening, it’s a way for me to unwind and express myself beyond words. I’m also a lifelong learner and an avid reader—you’ll often catch me diving into books about history, science fiction, or science.

Therapy, for me, is about creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen. I believe that when we feel grounded and encouraged, we become more open to growth, even when that growth feels uncomfortable.

It’s similar to what I’ve experienced through my years of practicing and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The blend of discipline, mindfulness, and movement has deeply influenced how I show up as a therapist. On the mat, as in therapy, progress doesn’t happen overnight—it’s built through patience, trust, and showing up with intention.

At the heart of my work is the belief that you are the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you clarify your personal values and moral compass so you can make choices aligned with who you truly are. When we’re clear on what matters most, life’s challenges often become more manageable.

I place a strong emphasis on self-esteem work. Feeling confident in who you are and what you stand for is a game-changer. It empowers you to move through relationships, transitions, and setbacks with greater resilience and clarity.

My goal isn’t to give you answers—but to help you uncover your own. Together, we’ll create a space that encourages reflection, honesty, and even a bit of humor. Growth doesn’t have to be heavy—it can be energizing, empowering, and even a little fun.
