Beyond Therapy

When I’m not working with clients, I’m often dancing, choreographing, or writing—creative outlets that keep me grounded and inspired. My two kids, Leo and William, are my greatest muses. Their passion for music, one as a percussionist and the other as a guitarist, fills our home with rhythm and energy. I’m a lifelong learner who thrives on movement, creativity, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

Hi there! I am Dr. Maral Pushian Sultanian, a licensed marriage and family psychotherapist with a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology (Jungian Analytic Psychology) specializing in a wide range of mental health concerns.

With over 20 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to serving and supporting youth, families, adults, and couples. Additionally, I have the privilege of serving foster youth in Ventura County, California.

As a psychotherapist, I support adults and couples in maintaining proactive engagement in all areas of their daily activities and social relationships. I focus on mindfulness and psychoanalysis in my sessions. I want my clients to know they are the author of their lives and they hold a natural ability to examine their own decisions, patterns of behavior, and their life at large. To me, resilience is key, and I work to foster compassionate discourse with each and every one of my clients.

I also offer clinical supervision to Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) applicants pursuing licensure and licensed individuals or companies seeking professional consultation.

If you have any questions about the services I offer, don’t hesitate to contact me or book a free, 15-minute virtual consultation. I’m here to help. Let’s chat!
