Beyond Therapy

When I’m not working with clients, I’m often dancing, choreographing, or writing—creative outlets that keep me grounded and inspired. My two kids, Leo and William, are my greatest muses. Their passion for music, one as a percussionist and the other as a guitarist, fills our home with rhythm and energy. I’m a lifelong learner who thrives on movement, creativity, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

Hi there! I’m Dr. Maral Pushian Sultanian, a licensed marriage and family psychotherapist with a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology (Jungian Analytic Psychology). I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, families, and youth through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.

With over 20 years of experience, I have devoted my career to helping people navigate their inner world, build healthier relationships, and move toward meaningful personal growth. I have also had the privilege of serving foster youth in Ventura County, California—work that has deeply informed my understanding of resilience, identity, and healing across the lifespan.

In my practice, I support adults and couples in staying proactively engaged in their daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being. My therapeutic approach weaves together mindfulness, depth psychology, and psychoanalytic principles. I believe you are the author of your own life, and within you lies a natural capacity to reflect, grow, and understand the patterns that shape your experiences. Resilience is central to my work, and I aim to foster a compassionate, reflective space where insight, clarity, and transformation can unfold.

I also provide clinical supervision to Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs), Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSWs), Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCCs), and to licensed individuals or organizations seeking depth-oriented consultation.

If you have any questions about the services I offer, feel free to reach out or schedule a free 15-minute virtual consultation. I’m here to help—let’s chat.
